I use a mid range zoom that I have (24-120) for macro shots. Because the closest focussing distance is about 3 feet I have to use it at the 120mm end (which converts to 180 mm with a 1.5x crop factor on the D50).

If you want to know more about macro photography take a look @ ashwin (www.flickr.com/photos/arucard ). He does a lot of work on macros and has the patience to actually stalk butterflies in the wild (garden down the road) and take photos of them. # posted by Blogger nmk : 4:06 PM
